It’s her diner
and she’ll cry if she want to

It’s difficult to pin artist / designer Or Ayalon down and put her into any one category. With Diner’s Club, she brings a unique visual conceptual world to food and the good side of emotional eating. While being funny and provocative, she provides a personal, humane and touching perspective that doesn’t leave the viewer indifferent, especially viewers who have experienced first hand the consequences of eating.

As someone who has been dealing with compulsive eating disorders for the better part of her life, Ayalon is driven by a deep understanding that life goes on and while she takes the issue very seriously, she strives to create a parallel conversation that transcends the world of sickness and sheds humour and humanity on the topic.

Ayalon, a senior Art Director at McCANN for over a decade, creates unique imagery and public installations from her diner, her surreal dreamlike studio in Tel Aviv, exquisitely designed to the last detail like a 50’s diner, just without any food.
